work in progress

Working on Suzi's piece adding texture influenced by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele regarding pattern and design-working in a more graphic style.  Photos show close up of texture created using tissue paper and acrylic glaze, both torn and cut paper, acrylic over glaze with blues and greens.

Castle art

I would love to see this castle in real life, maybe some day...

What is the sisterhood of the traveling canvas?

4 women each with a different artistic vision each with an 18x24 masonite art board and a title. Two weeks, switch, next 2 weeks switch...until everyone has had a chance to work on each piece and on the 10th week it returns to the original artist for completion. What will they discover or uncover? Only time will tell.

Why...why not?

Several years ago I was working on theater piece with the Pink Toupee collective called Miss Fortune and the carnival of Fools. This is one of my favorite lines from a spoken word piece that appears early in the production...Miss Fortune to June "girl it's time for you to take off your little monkey buttons and put on your lobster slippers, you're goin for one hell of ride"...lordy be I hope so.
